Profile: Hashimoto Wataru is survivor who does not know where to go. His normal life in Japan ended at 8-years-old when a lock-down incident occurred within the Yamanote Line, which resulted in demons breaking free and cause the catastrophe known as the 'Great Yamanote Catastrophe', killing over a thousand people, including his friends and parents. He grew up with his sister and the demons that he hated at first, but grew to love as his own family. Unfortunately, a recent mission resulted in his sister's death, leaving Wataru all alone. Wataru is generally surly towards strangers, speaking tersely if he does speak. He is docile for the most part, if seemingly timid, but can quickly become apprehensive to the offer of a hand or abrasive and violent when someone does nearly touch him. Inheriting his sister's COMP, Wataru is a Demon Tamer. He possesses the ability to summon demons at his command, along with utilizing magic. The boy is not without his guitar case and crowbar.

Profile: Growing up in a small, simple village, Reize was raised upon stories of exploration, adventure, and heroics by his father, once an well-known explorer and adventurer. His boldness and desire to prove himself led him to become a skilled hunter and develop an unconventional twin boomerang and self-taught martial arts style. Enthusiastic and compassionate, Reize makes friends easily, and he is idealistically committed to his own imagined 'Knight's Vows,' despite their ambiguity. Though his bumbling and lack of navigational abilities tend to cause him to show up at the wrong place at the wrong time, he is nevertheless eminently adaptable, and now on the path to becoming an explorer. Having learned that his vanished mother was a painter who could see things that other people could not, he now seeks out the clues with the hand-painted cards she left behind, hoping to discover her fate.
