Description: Suha is a nomadic girl of about nine years of age. She's fended for herself for an unknown stretch of time, only occasionally finding refuge with larger bands of nomadic tribes and families. She's mostly viewed as a pariah, though to assume she's nothing but a burden and a mouth to feed would underestimate her keen survival and hunting skills. She rarely talks.

Eventually she begins traveling with another solitary nomad, a young woman named Thalia, who possibly sees some of her younger self in Suha. Though seemingly they do not have a close bond, Thalia shows more respect towards Suha and her abilities than anyone has before. As time passes, Suha opens up enough to Thalia to allow her to provide more for her than mere protection. (And as an aside, Thalia doesn't mind arming Suha with knives and a blowgun, making her quite popular with the fierce little girl.)

Suha carries a blowgun that she keeps capped on both ends when she's not actively using it. Thus, it becomes many other things, such as a walking stick, defensive staff and general annoyance for Thalia when Suha decides to playfully poke her comrade with it. (Thalia retaliates by threatening to do such horrible things as bathe Suha or make her wear boots for a change. Actually, grooming is often used by Thalia as a threat or bargain. Ask Suha how she got her latest pair of hunting knives, though her bug-free hair should be enough of a giveaway.)
